Sales
From time to time we will have special sales in conjunction with holidays or special events. We might even offer certain items on sale at reduced prices. Check back often to see the sales that we have going on!
Donations
We cannot survive without donations and our community has been very supportive over the years in giving quality merchandise. We absolutely appreciate all donations! Donations can be left in one of three ways:
1. In the drop box just inside the front entrance of the library (off the parking lot).
2. In the overnight drop box on the northeast corner of the building.
3. By bringing items to the shop during store hours.

A Little About Us
We’ve come a long way since the first library-sponsored thrift shop opened in 1945 with the first donation of one very lively nanny goat. Taneyhills Library Club members were asked to donate anything they could spare – fancywork, baked goods, novelties, used clothing, and furniture.
Today, the 2nd Edition Thrift Shop covers 3,700 square feet and is one of the finest in town. Over 70 volunteers work the front desk, sort, clean, polish, and price thousands of items. Shelves are restocked several times each week. We are always seeking volunteers to help us help the library.

The shop is staffed entirely by volunteers allowing all proceeds to be used to provide financial support for the Taneyhills Library. More than half the annual budget of the library is funded by thrift shop sales. Your support is important – it is a win, win: great bargains for you and financial support for Taney County’s largest library.
