WE WON THE 2018 CARE FOR KIDS AWARD! The Branson Chamber of Commerce honored the Taneyhills Community Library with the Care for Kids Award on Feb. 23, 2018 at their annual Black Tie Gala. The award goes to individuals or entities "that have achieved outstanding leadership and service on behalf of kids in our community." We were recognized for our Stanley & Elaine Ball Children's Library and our programs. The Junior Gardeners, record number attendees for last summer’s reading, the Adelyn Valett Art Competition, and Milk & Cookies, all helped us achieve this impressive recognition.
Fun times await as the Children's Library has much to offer:

JUNIOR GARDENERS ...are now meeting on Thursdays at 5:30 pm. Participants should dress for a planting work time in the gardens. Children, ages 4 and up, can join at no cost. An adult must accompany younger children. This year, local Master Gardeners awarded our program with $1,100 to purchase needed materials, trees, flowers, and plants. Thanks to Patty Slicer for organizing this fun project.
