Volunteers
“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year,
but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”

The Taneyhills Library only operates because of the hard work from our volunteers.
The library only has five paid staff. We simply would not be able to open without our dedicated volunteers.

We are Always Looking for More Volunteers!
Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to the community and give us a helping hand. Volunteers can work in the library either as program aids or shelvers. Volunteers working downstairs will either be working as a retail associate or in the back sorting through books and other donated items. Most volunteers work a few hours each week.

If you don't have the time to volunteer but would still like to help the library, consider becoming a Friend or Champion. For a yearly fee, you can support the library and get a few extra perks! Learn more about Friends and Champions here.
